New ERC recommendations 2021

Goals :

– Recognize patients in critical condition and prevent cardiac arrest

-Perform intra-hospital resuscitation

-Knowing and applying the Advanced Life Support algorithm

-Manage the airways and ventilation

-Perform cardiac monitoring, ECG and rhythm recognition

-Understanding and administering drugs used in the treatment of peri-arrhythmias and cardiac arrest

-Identify the different ways of administering medication during cardiac arrest

-Safe use manual defibrillator or external automated defibrillator

-Know the indications of cardiac stimulation in cardiac circumstances

-Identify and take care of cardiac arrest in particular circumstances

-Optimize Post-CPR Care

-Making decisions based on the ethical aspects of resuscitation

– Take care of the entourage and the family in the framework of resuscitation

-Approach teamwork and non-technical skills
